ORGANIZATIONAL LOCATION:

HHS, Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Administration 
on Children, Youth & Families (ACYF), Children's Bureau, Division of 
State Systems, in Washington, DC.

 
KEY REQUIREMENTS: 
US Citizenship 
 
MAJOR DUTIES: 

If selected for this position, you will:

- Provide guidance and technical assistance to State and local 
agencies concerning the planning, design, development, implementation 
and operation of State information technology systems used to support 
Child Welfare case management.

- Participate on teams responsible for special assignments that 
support the activities and management of the Division, or that 
conduct on-site system reviews and evaluations of State and local 
systems to test their efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with 
approved Advance Planning Documents (APD) and program requirements.

- Analyze routine Advance Planning Documents (APD), request for 
proposals, and contract documents from State and local governments. 
Based on the review, develop recommendations and draft a response to 
the State or local entity that submitted the document. Review 
budgets, schedule and business plans included in State APDs and 
recommend Federal financial participation for systems development 
activities and equipment acquisitions. Assess compliance with 
established APD guidelines and Federal policies and procedures 
related to information technology, child welfare program requirements 
and State procurements.

- Communicate, both verbally and in writing, with peers, ACF 
management, and representatives from other Federal and Non-Federal 
agencies.
