Project Director, Alaska Mental Health Review
Are you currently licensed in behavioral health in the State of Alaska? Can
you be described as a proactive, self-motivated multitasker? Do you thrive
under pressure and succeed in meeting deadlines? Does your management style

Masters in psychology, healthcare administration, counseling, or related
field and at least five years of progressive healthcare management
experience in the state of Alaska, then read on…this could be the

You will be responsible for the operational management of the clinical and
non-clinical staff who provide mental health utilization review, care
coordination, and related services to Alaska Medicaid. Your previous
experience in Medicaid-specific utilization and quality control will serve
you well as you will be the single point of contact for all activities of
the assigned Medicaid contract. You will ensure the integrity and high
quality of utilization review and other services. Your strong communication
skills and positive customer service skills will be essential to your
success. You will have the opportunity to display your effective management
methods as you develop and manage your staff as well as contract budgets,
customer relationships, interfaces, communications and retention.

Clinical Reviewer 1 – Medicaid Services
The ideal candidate will have at least four years of mental health clinical
experience within the state of Alaska. Your previous experience in
utilization review, quality assurance, and/or care coordination will aid in
your success. In this role, you will assess the medical necessity, quality
of care, level of care, and appropriateness of mental health services for
Medicaid client. You will certify cases that meet clinical review criteria
and refer cases to psychiatric consults when indicated in screening. You
will prepare letters and reports for utilization management reviews and will
ensure the integrity and high quality of utilization management services.
You are currently licensed in behavioral healthcare in the state of Alaska
and have your Bachelors in psychology, counseling, nursing, social work or
related field. Your strong computer skills and excellent communication and
public relations skills will be critical to your success. You function well
in a team environment and are able to effectively manage multiple priorities
on your own initiative.

Care Coordinator – Alaska Medicaid Services
Are you currently licensed in behavioral health and have been providing
mental health services in Alaska for the last four years? Are you a driven
self-starter looking for a place to succeed and make a difference? If you
said, “Yes,” then read on.
Our ideal candidate is a people person in all senses. You have excellent
communication skills and are able to maintain confidentiality and
professionalism at all times. You have highly effective public relations
skills which you will apply in all interactions, including screening and
assessment of care coordination of Medicaid clients, service coordination
and implementation of the care coordination process, and Medicaid
client/family advocacy. You will plan for appropriate client-focused care
coordination goals and interventions and ensure the integrity and high
quality of care coordination services.
You have a Bachelors or Masters in psychology, nursing, counseling, social
work or related field and have or are working towards your CCM
certification.
