The Women’s Research & Education Institute (WREI), a non-partisan
organization that provides timely data and policy research to the women and
men in Congress, has placed talented women scholars on Capitol Hill for 28
years.  Since 1980, more than 300 lawyers, doctors, nurses, filmmakers, and
political scientists have learned while they worked as legislative
assistants on House and Senate staffs, covering those issues affecting women
and their families.
