Subject: Hospice Teleconference: Book deadline extended!

 

2 weeks until the video teleconference on 3/22 and good news for those who
may have thought they missed out on the opportunity to have the book!  The
ordering deadline for the teleconference text has been extended until March
15th-that means you are guaranteed a book as long as you register by that
date :-)  We will also do our best to have extras on hand for last minute
registrants.  Please see below for the up to date information about our
great local panel and details of the event.

We hope to see you there and spread the word-remember volunteers, students
and interested others may attend at no cost if they don't need the
book/proof of attendance-!

HFA's 14th Annual National Bereavement Teleconference will focus on "Living
With Grief: Before and After the Death."  This educational program,
moderated by Frank Sesno, Professor of Media and Public Affairs at The
George Washington University and Special Correspondent with CNN, will be
broadcast live via-satellite, Thursday, March 22, from 9:30-noon AST.  This
program will provide an educational forum in which a multidisciplinary panel
of experts will explore the most current theoretical perspectives on loss
and grief as experienced by persons throughout a life-limiting illness and
by survivors after the death. The panel will focus on anticipatory grief and
areas where understandings of grief have been challenged.  Registration fee:
$15, includes comprehensive text/proof of attendance.  CEU's available for
additional fee.  General public, volunteers and students admitted free
(without book/certificate) on space available basis.
