Good morning!

The NASW Chapter Office has received a copy of the award-winning
documentary, I Have Tourette's But Tourette's Doesn't Have Me: Dispelling
the Myth One Child at a Time." The DVD has been provided courtesy of the
Tourette Syndrome Association (TSA) and distributed by the NASW National
Office.

As you may know, 200,000 Americans are affected by Tourette's Syndrome. The
syndrome is marked by involuntary twitching and vocal tics. It is an
inherited, neurobiological disorder and is frequently misunderstood and
misdiagnosed. It is expected that at least one child in every school has
this syndrome. This documentary dispels the myths of Tourette's. Extra
features include resources for educators, families and children. See
HYPERLINK "http://www.tsa-usa.org"www.tsa-usa.org for a variety of
supporting materials for the DVD.

This DVD is now available to NASW members to borrow; this program is NOT
APPROVED FOR CEUs. Members are welcome to view the DVD on an
honor-system-return basis, with a two-week library rental.

Please contact the Chapter Office at HYPERLINK
