[NASW Alaska Chapter Listserve] Silent Auction donations

Good afternoon!

 

We are swiftly gearing up for this year's Annual Conference. As part of each
year's conference, NASW holds a silent auction as a fundraiser to assist
students through five different scholarship programs.  NASW members are a
vital part of this process!  

 

Here's what you can do:

*	Ask amongst friends, neighbors and local businesses for items to
donate to the silent auction. In the past, donated items have included
things like...prize-winning jelly (2 jars)...handmade
jewelry...scarves...candleholders...gift certificates to local
businesses...trips for two...photographs, artwork, toys, personal services,
and MUCH more! Do you know of someone who has a special talent or skill that
would be donate-able? See if they would be willing to give an hour of their
time and talent to supporting scholarship funds for deserving students of
social work! In 2004, Lisa Cauble donated a halibut dinner cooked in the
winner's home! 
*	Keep in mind that silent auction items are 
*	Wendy Chase has graciously agreed to be our Silent Auction
Coordinator again this year. Her contact information is (907) 550-2324

*	Send donated items to the chapter office - or feel free to simply
pass along names and Wendy or I will contact folks to arrange for shipping.
