Spring Series
NASW-Alaska Chapter's Spring Series lectures are provided each year on a variety of topics between late March and early May.
Online registration is now available for the 2013 Southcentral Spring Series! We have a great lineup of educational presentations this year. Here's our present schedule:
March 4th - Case Studies in Social Work Leadership presented by Melissa Merrick,

March 11th - Integrating Trauma Informed Care into Treatment Services presented
by Tara Curry & Laureen Young, LPC (3 Substance Abuse)
March 18th - Gang Culture in Alaska (introductory course) presented by Officer Scott
Lofthouse of APD (3 cross-cultural)
March 25th - Long Term Services and Supports in Alaska: Innovative Practices along
the Continuum of Care presented by Kelda Barstad, ADRC Program Manager (3 Gen)
April 1st – to be determined
April 8th - Ethics Panel - Technology and Social Media moderated by Mary Elizabeth
Rider, MSW (3 Ethics)
April 15th – to be determined
All presentations are 6-9 pm Monday nights (3 CEUs), cost for each is $45 for NASW members and $60 for nonmembers.
Sessions are located at the Providence Cancer Center, 3851 Piper St, Room 2281.
If you park in the Cancer Center parking garage, that's the classroom closest to the skybridge entrance (not to be confused with the skybridge to the main hospital).
